Develop an organic logo for an online culinary magazin. Create two color schemes: general and one for the site. The logo should reflect the activities of the magazine.
From a different number of options, we settled on a design with a heraldic bias. The shield is divided into two halves on one side — a pan on fire, on the other a bunch of onions.
The saucepan symbolizes the cooking process and the direct relationship of the magazine to this process. A bunch of onions, as the most common ingredient in various dishes, shows the variety of recipes that the user can find on the POVAR COOK pages.
In order for the name to always stand out and look solid and uniform — writing is allowed only in capital letters, the «Russo One» font is used in the logo and identity.
The basic color scheme consists of muted blues and reds to achieve the desired brightness and contrast. At the same time, the logo has a gray tint in order not to create a bright white spot.
The color scheme for the site is less vivid — it consists of yellow and dark gray. The colors selected in this way do not irritate the user’s eyes, allow them to be on the site for a long time, but at the same time they are quite bright and memorable. Logo renditions do not change depending on the color scheme.
